John Asher

John Asher is the President of Konfidis Inc. with accountability for strategic direction, partnerships and operations.
He brings over 20 years of financial services experience in various senior executive positions. Most recently, John held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for RSA Canada, a top 5 national property and casualty insurance company, responsible for the operational success regional investments, pension plans, corporate development and partnerships, actuarial, finance and legal.
Previously, John held senior positions at The Co-operators, a national property and casualty insurance, life insurance and wealth management company as Vice President, Corporate Finance; Vice President Finance, Business Development and Corporate Actuarial including Chairman of The Co-operators Life Insurance Company Pension Committee. John’s mandate included the development of new products and services leading to homeowner fintech innovation, sustainable alternative investment policies and sustainable wealth management products.
Jared Kalish
Executive Chairman, Konfidis Inc.
Jared Kalish is the Executive Chairman of Konfidis and is actively involved in setting the strategy and providing leadership assistance. Jared is a passionate entrepreneur with a strong track record of building businesses and leading extremely talented teams. He has been deeply involved in driving Konfidis from the idea stage and brings strong real estate expertise after actively trading and managing a portfolio of public REITs since 2014.
Jared is a Co-Founder of FirePower Asset Management and oversees Firepower’s private debt and private equity limited partnerships. Starting in 2016, Jared built FirePower's Private Debt division from the ground up, transforming it into a thriving business and since 2018 has also been active in building FirePower's Private Equity business from inception.
Previously, Jared was responsible for Structured Finance and Strategic Equity for Investec in Canada. He achieved significant success early in his career and was appointed as a division head for Investec, an international bank and wealth manager, at the age of 27, where he led the Equity Structuring team (derivatives and structured lending) to realize substantial growth in profitability. Jared has a BSc in Actuarial Science and an MSc in Risk and Stochastics from the London School of Economics where he was ranked first overall in his class.
David Garrard

David has over 20 years of experience in technology leadership and senior engineering positions covering a broad range of technical disciplines including capability in analytics, data engineering, visualization, reporting, e-commerce, content management, and business process automation.
Most recently David served as the Chief Technology Officer of Last Call Analytics (LCA) – providing visualization, workflow, analytics and forecasting to the Beverage Alcohol and Cannabis industries. He was responsible for a multi-disciplined team of talented technology professionals; and personally focused on systems architecture, data analytics modelling, forecasting, dev-ops and performance. LCA was successfully acquired by Ample Organics, a leading provider of Cannabis technology in Canada.
In his many roles he has led diverse engineering teams responsible for the full stack and full lifecycle of software products including large scale datasets, machine learning, natural language processing, error correction, user experiences, mobile apps, APIs, distributing computing, infrastructure, security, and operations.
His experience has crossed industries from Consumer Packaged Goods, Finance, Energy, Loyalty, Healthcare and Marketing.
